CRC Worship Coaches Available

Did you know that the CRC offers churches and individuals coaching in worship?

Worship Ministries has been developing this program and wants to offer you, the local church, the opportunity to receive coaching from one of our 14 experienced and endorsed worship coaches.

Here is a story from one church regarding the coaching they received recently:

Our pastor had been leading our congregation for 12.5 years. When he and his wife decided that it was a good time to retire, our worship team needed to kick it up a notch. We’d been working with our pastor in planning special services and series. We’d been researching and creating visuals. Our praise teams had been choosing appropriate songs. Lots getting done, but now what? What about all the “regular” services? What about creating the flow throughout a service?

That is where Ruth Ann Schuringa came in to help. With her years of experience, she was able to answer our questions and direct us to resources and engage us in discussions about leading worship. We’ve taken to heart her advice to have a worship leader that will help with continuity throughout the service. Her assistance on creating segues throughout the service to give flow has been so helpful.

We still have lots of work to do but now we have resources (including Ruth Ann!) to help our Worship Team lead our congregation in worship of our glorious God.

If you’re interested in finding out more, go to, email Worship Ministries at [email protected], or call 877.262.6202.

To get started, simply fill out a Worship Coach Inquiry Form to have someone contact you about a free coaching consultation. See the pdf attached to this post for additional information and suggested cost for ongoing coaching.

One more thing: If you plan to be at the Symposium on Worship at Calvin University from January 30 to February 1, please stop by our Worship Ministries table and ask us about coaching. Or email us today if you'd like to set up a free consultation with a coach during Symposium.

We love your comments! Thanks for your help upholding the Community Guidelines to make this an encouraging and respectful community for everyone.

Thanks for sharing this! Curious, do most of these coaching sessions happen in person? Or are they also happening over the phone or via Google hangouts?

It can be either, Staci. It will depend on what works best for those involved. So while some coaching will be done 'in person', video conferencing will certainly make this accessible to almost everyone.

Thank you! Helpful.
