It always amazes me how fast a year goes. It seems like yesterday that I received a call asking me to help in setting up the CRCNA Youth Ministry NETWORK page. Sounded like a great challenge and that it was. Writing and posting blogs, articles, stories, and links were just some of the exciting activities I had the joy of doing as part of the ever-growing NETWORK Team. In some unique ways the NETWORK, guides and all the readers, have become like family. Thank you!

But as mentioned in a previous blog, Cleaning House, there are things in life that need to be put aside. The plate gets full and things start to spill and not get the attention they truly deserve. Unfortunately, the Youth Ministry page of the NETWORK is one of those things that has not been getting the attention that it deserves due to my ever-increasing role at Youth Unlimited as Leadership Development Director.

As I say farewell let me express my deepest thanks to you for your role in making this entire network a success. Your forum questions, thoughts, and comments have spurred us all to think and be creative in Ministry. A special thank you goes to Adam VanDop for all his contributions to Spilled Salt and to Monica deRegt for her contributions to Side-line: A Spouse’s Perspective.

It has been a joy to be part of the NETWORK for the past year and I wish it a great success as it continues to minister to the needs of youth workers and many others who commit so much to the bride of Christ — the church. This blog submission will be my last but there will be many more excellent blogs to come from the new Youth Ministry NETWORK guide. Keep coming back often!

May I urge to continue in the calling placed on your life. Youth Ministry is key to the spiritual formation of a youth. You have the unique privilege to speaking into their lives during such formative years. Do not take that lightly but move forward boldly, in faith, sharing God’s love and truth.

Thank you so much, Marcel, for sharing our vision for this even before it was built (talk about faith!). You'll alway be the inaugural Youth Ministry Network guide!

Thanks for helping build the foundation over the past year, and we look forward to your continued participation here and on other parts of The Network.
