In this webinar, Dr. Brock and Chaplain Keizer will discuss the definition and causes of moral injury, how it differs from post-traumatic stress disorder and what is involved in the recovery process. They'll also share about the importance of congregations and communities in the process of soul repair.

Our presenters: Rev. Rita Nakashima Brock Ph.D is Founding Co-Director of the Soul Repair Center. She’s the daughter of a Korean War veteran, stepdaughter of a veteran of World War II and the Vietnam War, and was raised in a military family. She and Gabriella Lettini co-authored Soul Repair: Recovery from Moral Injury after War. Chaplain (Colonel) Herman Keizer, Jr. was drafted and served as a Chaplain Assistant from 1962-1964. He was commissioned as a Chaplain in 1968 and served until retirement from the military in 2002. He then served as the Director of Chaplaincy Ministries for the Christian Reformed Church until 2009.
