Bylaws for Nonprofit Corporations (US)

Bylaws are the rules and procedures for how a nonprofit corporation will operate and be governed. The bylaws usually discuss the purpose, governance, duties of leadership, meetings, and indemnification of trustees. My reading indicates that nonprofits are required to have bylaws but do not have to file them with a state office.
The sample attached is one used by a Christian Reformed Church. I did wonder if the CRC "Manual of Christian Reformed Church Government" should be referred to somewhere in bylaws for CRC's since it provides so much information on church order.
Churches are encouraged to use legal counsel for creating bylaws but this sample may be a great place to start.
