Shoreline Christian Reformed Church is seeking a ministry leader to fill two areas of leadership. One area of leadership is as our worship leader. The other area is to lead us in outreach ministries.

We have talented musicians in our church and a pastor supportive of worship arts, but we need someone to oversee our worship ministry. The worship leader will work with our pastor to craft cohesive worship services that honor God, are Spirit led, and cultivate a musical repertoire for congregational singing and participation. We are excited for a worship leader to help us grow together in the ways we worship and love God.

  • Choose music, balancing fresh with familiar and placing it within the Reformed liturgical tradition
  • Identify gifts within the church and empower a variety of people in worship
  • Lead worship committee
  • Establish a healthy pace of introducing new worship elements and liturgical rhythms
  • Work with tech volunteers with stage set up, monitors, projected slides

We also desire a candidate who will lead and equip our church to love and reach out to our surrounding community. This person would be responsible for planning, organizing, and encouraging the church for these ministries. To that end, this person would:

  • Develop relationships with local ministries to create or develop missional partnerships
  • Coordinate opportunities for church members to serve local community
  • Plan and organize outreach-focused events in our community
  • Work with our deacons to pursue ministries of mercy and justice
  • Help us grow in the area of evangelism

  • A desire to love this congregation and what God is doing in it
  • A desire to know this local community and join God’s Spirit in ministry here

We are open to candidates who are ordained or not ordained. We’re looking for someone excited about ministry in the local church and are flexible in shaping the position to the right person.

The Benefits included are:

  • Full-time salaried position offering flexible hours
  • A house with utilities included
