Employee Type: Part-time position ~20 hours/week

Purpose: To lead Faith CRC in implementing its worship vision and mission by

  • Creating a worship atmosphere that helps people from all backgrounds interact genuinely with God and each other
  • Equipping and guiding all worship leaders
  • Overseeing the incorporation of music and other art mediums into worship services to enhance the worship service theme

  • Passionate about corporate worship
  • Desires to contribute to and promote Faith’s vision and mission
  • Demonstrates strong leadership, management, and organizational skills
  • Willing to be part of a creative team
  • Skilled in music and worship arts

Responsibilities

  • Plan the music, liturgy and flow for weekly worship services based on the service theme
  • Monthly planning meetings with the worship committee
  • Oversee the preparation for weekly worship services including:
    • Communication and coordination with the Audio-Visual team
    • Communication of bulletin information with the church administrative assistant
    • Creation of weekly PowerPoint for worship services
    • Distribution of worship scripts, music and other necessary information to worship leaders
  • Lead rehearsals with vocalists, instrumentalists and other participants
  • Be present at worship services to organize and assist music leaders
  • Encourage and equip all worship leaders to offer their best and to continue to develop their skills
  • Schedule vocalists and instrumentalists for each service
  • Recruit new volunteer worship leaders
  • Oversee seasonal celebrations (Advent, Lent, Pentecost, etc.)
  • Oversee copyright and license compliance
  • Routinely evaluate the effectiveness of worship services
  • Participate in and contribute to church staff activities under the direction of the pastor

Salary: $25,000-30,000
