This service around the faith practice of “hospitality” is structured in such a way that you’ll be “setting a table.” There are so many different ways you can do this to be specific to your own context, so have fun with it and do something unique! Below you’ll find ideas, but the possibilities are endless.  

This service will take some pre-service preparation. Have an empty table front and center in your worship space. There are several sections to this service, almost like a “lessons and hymns” style service. In each section, you can invite someone to come up and do something to/for the table and offer a reflection or prayer. Maybe it’s a personal story or testimony. You'll also find scripture suggestions.
