Chaplaincy and Care will complete their 75th Anniversary celebration with their annual conference ‘Pioneers, Past, and Present’ on June 8-10, 2017. The life experiences of chaplains from the past and present combine to form a rich narrative of chaplaincy in the CRC. The purpose of storytelling is not just for nostalgia. It is to equip us all with lessons that chaplains and the church can take into the future as we face new challenges ministering in an increasingly secular and pluralistic environment and as we help the Church meet those same challenges.
We will also explore our vision for chaplaincy for the future as we welcome a new Director of Chaplaincy and Care, Rev. Sarah Roelofs, MDiv, BCC. The conference will begin at 12 noon with lunch, followed by their guest speaker, Rev. Scott Hoezee, Director of the Center for Excellence in Preaching. Registration and information can be found on Chaplaincy & Care website.
