Christ's Family Church is a multi-generational church embracing the mission of leading people to Christ, equipping them for service in the Kingdom of God, and sending them out to reach others with the Gospel. The congregation's greatest hope is to more effectively live out that mission through the concerted efforts of congregants, existing staff, and newly staffed positions, including a Director of Operations who will align and advance the mission of CFC through management and oversight of the operational and administrative aspects of the congregation which include, but are not limited to finances, human resources, property management, and technology.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership for aligning the organizational and operational systems to the changing needs of the ministry.
  • Develop and cultivate relationships with advisory teams in the areas of finance, property management, human resources, and technology.
  • Proven ability to plan and manage operational processes through the application of biblical principles with the goal of effective ministry.
  • Develop and uphold organizational policies and standards, ensuring compliance with the Bible, the congregation’s by-laws, the denomination’s Book of Church Order, and all state and federal regulations.
  • Work closely with the Lead Pastor to establish and maintain a trusting and healthy working environment which affirms and practices biblical principles.Develop and implement short- and long-term plans for ministerial growth and evangelism directed at youth and young adults.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor day-to-day operational systems and processes which support effective ministry.
  • Supervise all staff members involved in the operational and administrative aspects of the congregation’s ministry.
  • Build and maintain relationships with ministry leaders and advisory teams with the end result of the adoption of and implementation of strategies for effective ministry.
  • Evaluate, monitor and maintain our three “first impressions” upon those who may be considering our church. These include the impressions of our church given to those who visit our website, drive-by our campus, or visit a worship service.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Evidence of a commitment to Christ and His Church.
  • Organizational, communication, and leadership skills, demonstrated by previous professional experience.
  • Knowledge of operational systems and principles, including property management, finance, human resources, and technology.
  • Proven ability to plan and manage operational processes through the application of biblical principles with the goal of effective ministry.
  • Skilled in conflict resolution and building team alignment.
  • Possession of a BS or BA Degree in Business Management, Human Resources, Finance, or a related field, or extensive work experience in carrying out administrative duties similar to those identified in this document.

Expectations:

  • Cultivate a maturing relationship with the Lord,
  • Be an active and loving participant of CFC,
  • Support the Consistory-approved mission and vision of CFC, by aligning his/her staff and team members, both culturally and organizationally, so they live into that mission and vision,
  • Support the Lead Pastor by keeping in step with his/her leadership of the ministry of the congregation, and
  • Apply biblical principles in the execution of all responsibilities.
