First CRC of Montreal, QC Seeking Pastor

First CRC of Montreal, QC is seeking a full time pastor to shepherd our multi-cultural congregation.

Located in the Western part of the island of Montreal, we are a loving and welcoming congregation who is dedicated to our faith, to one another, and to the work God calls us to do. We have a strong desire to share our faith and God’s love with the community around us.

As the community around us continues to change, we are looking for a pastor that will help us to grow as a congregation and in the community with an emphasis on making God a part of everyday life.

Why Montreal

Montreal has been described as a city that is alive with beautiful people who are open-minded, independent, and upbeat. While the greater Montreal area counts just over 4-Million people, the city is small enough to feel like home.

Montréal ranks among the world’s top cities given its natural beauty, biculturalism and geographic importance as a vital lifeline to Canada’s economy, not to mention the most universities per capita in Canada.

Montreal is unique in Canada as it is the only French metropolitan city. It also has 25 ethnic groups of 10,000+ which offers excellent opportunities to meet people from around the world and participate in a diverse range of activities.

Opportunities to be a witness of God’s Love and Grace

Our church plays a key role to being a Christian witness in Montreal. Montréal has the highest percentage of "unreached" people of any other large city in North America. With less than 4 percent attending church regularly, many people say that they do hold onto spiritual values.

We also have a strong network of partners to work with:

  • · Classis Eastern Canada Support via Mission Montreal
  • · FAREL - Faculty of Reformed Theology
  • · Christian Direction
  • · West Island Mission
  • · Eglise Réformée St-Jean
  • · Ministry to Seafarers
