Is there a leadership role for Deacons in being accountable for ministry results? In the vision statements  and church orders of both the RCA and CRC this is a clear expectation. Yet, so often churches fall into a leadership pattern dictated by precedent, rather than current necessity.This issue of For Deacons looks at systems theory in helping put in place an accountability process that insures that all our processes and structures line up well so that ministry is effectively accomplished. This edition of For Deacons also offers tools for local and regional/Classis level change, and provides lots of additional reading recommendations for inspiration.
