First Christian Reformed Church is seeking a three quarter time Pastor, committed to the Christian Reformed faith. This position will include duties including preaching, pastoral care, and outreach. This Pastor will:
- Equip, inspire, model, and lead the congregation in ministry and outreach.
- Nurture our congregation towards maturing in faith, love, unity, Bible knowledge, and hope.
- Be committed to personal development in skills, knowledge, and discipleship.
- Model a personally healthy, balanced, relational, and spiritual life.
- Work with and encourage members of the youth.
Primary responsibilities include:
- Preaching and leading worship, bringing biblical, practical messages to all ages.
- Partnering with the council, and congregation, to ensure pastoral care for all members, and others who may join our fellowship.
- Providing direction, support, and assistance to youth ministry groups, small groups, and leaders.
- Carrying out the directives of the 1st CRC council in accordance with its vision.
In sync with the regular responsibilities of being a pastor, this person will:
- Encourage, support, and mentor members in their relationships with others, and in their ability to lead a person to a saving faith in Jesus.
- Have the opportunity to create new ministries and programs to further the effectiveness of our church.
