Associate Pastoral Position

Smithers Christian Reformed Church’s vision is that each person attending experiences opportunities that shapes their faith and motivates them to grow in their personal relationship with Jesus Christ. 

We are an established medium to large size church family and are looking for a person to fill a full time Associate Pastoral position.  This position will work in partnership with our Senior Pastor in ministry development and leadership.  The ideal candidate will have a deep desire to serve God and others and would be gifted in administration, leadership and teaching.  Some theological training with the ability to preach or the ability to deliver a message occasionally would be considered an asset.  Ascribing agreement with the Christian Reformed Church’s doctrines is required. 

The Associate Pastoral position is focused on, but is not limited to, three main themes:

• Faith formation
• Ministry to young children and their families
• Congregation engagement in church life
