Full-Time Classis Advancement Director for Classis Minnkota

Classis Minnkota seeks a Classis Advancement Director (CAD) to help strengthen existing congregations and encourage new Reformed church plants throughout our region.

The CAD will work closely with churches to assess their current ministry efforts, develop plans for renewal, and strengthen discipleship. Renewal efforts will emphasize the Church’s ordinary means of grace — the Word, sacraments, and prayer — as the foundation for spiritual vitality and growth.

A key focus of this role is leadership development. The CAD will identify and mentor men gifted for ministry as deacons, elders and pastors, connect them with theological training resources, and coordinate local continuing education for pastors and councils. He will also organize training opportunities for elders and deacons, helping congregations build a sustainable pipeline of leaders.

The CAD will also help facilitate new church plants by identifying opportunities, recruiting potential planters, and coordinating with the Classis Home Missions Committee (CHMC) to plan new works in growing communities such as Marshall, Watertown, Madison, and Fargo.

The CAD may be an ordained minister, commissioned pastor, or qualified lay leader who meets the Biblical requirements for elder. He will be a self-starter, skilled at building relationships, and passionate about the role strong Reformed churches play in transforming lives and communities.

This is a full-time, five-year renewable position.
