New Life Christian Reformed Church is seeking a Creative Communications & Outreach Director to help us use media, storytelling, and digital communication to reach people with the Gospel.

This role is not simply technical. It is a ministry and outreach position. We are looking for someone who loves Jesus, has strong creative gifts, and is excited to help New Life connect with people both inside and outside the church.

The Creative Communications & Outreach Director will lead the church’s media, digital content, visual communication, and storytelling efforts. This person will help strengthen Sunday worship, communicate the mission of the church clearly, tell stories of God’s work, and expand New Life’s reach in Spring and the surrounding community.

Responsibilities

· Create video, photography, graphics, and digital content for worship, ministry, outreach, and church-wide communication.

· Support sermon series, special events, seasonal campaigns, and ministry initiatives.

· Oversee livestream production and help maintain a strong online worship experience.

· Manage content for social media, YouTube, the church website, and other digital platforms.

· Produce testimonies, devotional videos, interviews, promotional content, and outreach-focused media.

· Develop a consistent visual identity for New Life across digital, print, and in-person communication.

· Capture stories from worship, children’s ministry, student ministry, outreach events, missions, and church life.

· Recruit, train, and lead volunteers in photography, video, social media, livestreaming, and production.

· Work closely with the Senior Pastor, staff, and ministry leaders to communicate the church’s mission and vision.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have:

· A growing relationship with Jesus Christ and a genuine sense of calling to ministry.

· Believes and supports the evangelical Christian faith in the Reformed tradition as outlined in the creeds and confessions of the CRCNA.

· Is actively worshiping and involved at New Life Church, including becoming a member within six months of the start of employment.

· Strong skills in video production, editing, photography, design, and storytelling.

· Experience with social media, digital communication, and content creation.

· Familiarity with tools such as Adobe Creative Cloud, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, Canva, or similar platforms.

· Experience with livestreaming or church production is preferred.

· Strong communication, organization, and project management skills.

· A servant’s heart, collaborative spirit, and passion for reaching people with the Gospel.

A degree in communications, media, marketing, design, film, or a related field is preferred but not required. Equivalent experience will be considered.

General Expectations

The Creative Communications & Outreach Director will report to the Senior Pastor, serve as part of the ministry leadership team, participate in the life of the church, support ministry leaders with humility, and comply with all church policies, including Safe Church and Child Protection policies. A background check is required.

Weekend and some evening responsibilities are expected.

Compensation

Salary will be based on experience, qualifications, and demonstrated ability.
