About

The mission of Fairview Reformed Church is to minister to the total life of the community by preaching, teaching, witnessing, and proclaiming the Gospel of our Lord, Jesus Christ.

The rural community of Fairview (population about 500) is situated in the beautiful agricultural heartland of Illinois.  Fairview Reformed Church has been serving Jesus since it was established in 1837.  The historic building is located on a shady, one-block area in the center of Fairview.  Also located on the block is the Fellowship Hall, which was built in 1981.  Architecturally and functionally, the Fellowship Hall complements the church by providing a modern facility for Sunday School, Red Apple Preschool, and other community and church-related activities.  Across the street from the church and hall is the parsonage, built in 1999 for use by the pastor and family.  This spacious, two-story home features a central staircase, four bedrooms, and a beautiful yard.

Our worship services would generally be considered more traditional, but our congregation is open to new ideas.  We are a small church (about 60 attendees), which gives us the feeling of a true church family.  Some of the ways we presently serve our community are by packing Valentine's baskets with sweet treats and a personal note for shut-ins, serving funeral dinners, hosting a community soup supper, and donating money and supplies to support community projects which will benefit the town or schools.  Our fellowship hall is often used by community members and organizations.
