Full-Time Lead Pastor at Bethel CRC (Edgerton, MN)

Bethel Church is a vibrant body of believers in a thriving small town in SW Minnesota. Our average Sunday morning attendance is around 400, including 100+ children, and we are seeking a pastor to guide our congregation in our mission to Love God, Love People, and Make Disciples.

Your duties at Bethel would include:

• Preach six sermons per month. The assistant pastor preaches two sermons per month, and any other sermons will be covered by pulpit supply.
• Along with the elders, visit the sick, shut-ins, widows/widowers.
• Teach some high school catechism classes.
• Along with the council, supervise the assistant pastor.
• Plan worship services with our worship coordinator.
• Attend council and elders meetings.
• Counseling as needed.
• General church supervision.
• Some level of involvement with our youth.

Edgerton is a rural community of 1200 residents that supports both Christian and public K-12 schools, two hardware stores, a weekly newspaper, a clothing boutique, several gift shops, a second-hand store, two bakeries, an eating establishment, an outdoor swimming pool, a campground and city park, and more. We are located about one hour from Sioux Falls, SD, and a little more than one hour from Dordt College in Sioux Center, IA. There are two medical clinics in town, and two hospitals within 30 miles.
