Full-Time Lead Pastor at East Hill Community Church (Vernon, BC)

We, the members of East Hill Community Church in Vernon, B.C. Canada, are prayerfully seeking a full-time pastor.  Our future pastor will continue to lead our congregation as we develop our faith in ways that engage our members and our communities in daily living. We seek a pastor who has a deep spiritual understanding of the Christian faith, preaches the Word with conviction, has a heart for pastoral care, and has the ability to disciple, lead, train and encourage our congregation to further develop our gifts.

Nestled among gentle hills, lakes and several mountain ranges in BC's interior Okanagan valley, Vernon is a wonderful locale to live and minister among followers of Jesus.

East Hill Community is one of five CRC congregations in the BC Southern Interior. 

Vernon is home to outstanding, accredited Christian elementary and secondary schools. Locally, Okanagan College and nearby University of BC-Okanagan which also hosts a CRC Chaplaincy, provide post-secondary excellence with international reputation.

The cultural and economic history of the area lend a surprising diversity for a small city and surrounding towns of 60 thousand people. Nearby Kelowna and area, comprises nearly 200 thousand people, and extends all the benefits of a larger service center, including international airport (YLW), to our community 40 minutes away.

Tourism and recreation are the drivers of our local economy.  Much of our East Hill church family enjoy all the outdoors activities our community has to offer.  This  includes a plethora of walking, hiking and biking trails and a world renown ski hill at Silver Star which is only a 20 minute drive from Vernon.

Our congregation is blessed by a notable intergenerational make up and made alive by a mix of worship in music, mid week ministry such as Gems, Boys Club, Seniors ministry, Men's breakfast as well as many community partners such as Gleaners, Feed The Streets and Upper Room Mission.

We identify as a loving community of believers and followers of our risen Lord in faithful service among our neighbors near and far.
