We are seeking a Marketing & Communications Manager to carry out the day-to-day communications and marketing work of GEMS across digital and print channels.
This is a hands-on role for a strong communicator who enjoys writing, organizing projects, coordinating campaigns, and helping a mission-driven organization show up clearly and consistently.
Key responsibilities include:
- Writing and editing email campaigns, newsletters, website content, social media, and promotional materials
- Managing print communications, including the twice-yearly print newsletter and annual appeal
- Coordinating campaigns for fundraising, curriculum and program launches, and events
- Working with designers, printers, and other vendors
- Managing and updating the email platform, website content, and social media scheduling
- Helping steward clear, consistent, mission-aligned messaging for GEMS
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
- 3+ years experience in marketing, communications, or a related field (nonprofit or ministry experience a plus)
- Strong writing and editing skills
- Experience with email platforms, website CMS systems, and social media tools
- Strong organizational and project management skills
Location & Schedule:
- In-person role based in Wyoming, Michigan (limited hybrid flexibility)
- Full-time preferred; open to 28–30 hours per week for the right candidate
Compensation:
- $48,000–$52,000 (adjusted proportionally for part-time), depending on experience
