Location: Williamsburg Christian Reformed Church, Ontario

Williamsburg Christian Reformed Church is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Minister of the Word to lead our congregation. The ideal candidate will be an ordained pastor in the Christian Reformed Church (CRC) with a passion for preaching, teaching, and pastoral care. This role is central to fostering spiritual growth, community engagement, and building relationships within the church.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Worship Leadership: Lead and conduct Sunday and special worship services, create the order of worship, select songs, and engage the congregation in meaningful worship experiences.
  • Youth Engagement: Foster relationships with youth, encouraging their active participation in worship and church life. Support youth volunteer leaders and guide educational programs.
  • Hospitality: Create a welcoming environment and build community through member visits, pastoral care in hospitals and nursing homes, and supporting families during times of crisis and celebration. Provide guidance and support for funerals and other significant life events.
  • Communication: Attend church meetings, and ensure that all members have access to important information about church activities and events.

Qualifications:

  • Ordained pastor in the Christian Reformed Church (CRC) with at least 5 years of experience.
  • Experience in leading and refining church ministry programs.
  • Strong preaching, teaching, and public speaking skills.
  • Experience in working with and supporting networks of volunteers.
  • Compassionate, caring, and able to provide spiritual guidance and support.
