OVERVIEW
First Presbyterian Church of Branson, MO is seeking an individual who is passionate about revitalizing our student and family church community and connecting with younger generations. Our church, with a 110-year history, is located in the heart of downtown Branson which is nestled in the heart of the beautiful Ozark Mountains. FPC Branson is deeply devoted to embracing the next generation through a strong commitment to students and families while nurturing, discipling, and loving on covenant partners across the generational spectrum. This position requires a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, a love for children and youth, and a passion to make disciples as Jesus commanded in Matthew 28:19-20. POSITION FOCUS
Using his/her strengths, gifts and talents, this leader will develop and implement creative outreach strategies to connect with families in the community outside our church walls, bring them into our congregation, and connect them to FPC students and families. We envision a leader who will be a positive influence on students and families through his/her life witness and testimony; one who will go where students and families do life, and one who has a heart for discipling, encouraging, and walking alongside our covenant partners of all ages. The Next Gen leader at FPC is expected to have a regular and visible presence and participation in Sunday morning worship services. The duties of this individual may vary, but will generally include the following:
RESPONSIBILITIES:
4. VOLUNTEER COORDINATION: Recruiting, training, and managing volunteers who work with students and young adults. Ensuring they are equipped and supported in their roles.
5. COLLABORATION: Working with other church leaders to integrate Next Gen ministry into the broader FPC church vision and mission. Ensuring alignment with the church’s ECO goals and values.
6. ADMINISTRATION: Managing budgets, communication, and logistics related to Next Gen programs. This includes coordinating schedules, maintaining records, and ensuring compliance with state, local, and FPC Branson child protection policies and procedures.
7. PARENT PARTNERSHIP: Communicating with and supporting parents in their role as primary spiritual influencers. Providing resources and opportunities for family discipleship.
