Church Overview: Almena Bible Church is a small, independent community church in Almena KS (pop. 363), founded in the late 1800s. Located 12 miles from Norton, the county seat with a hospital, shopping and recreational opportunities, including a state lake for boating, fishing and camping.  We serve a rural area with a strong farming community.  Our mission is to make believers and deepen their relationship with God.  As an independent church, we answer only to the Lord and our congregation, fostering authentic, multigenerational relationships and collaborating with local churches for community outreach.  We seek a pastor to lead us in spiritual growth and evangelism.

Position Overview: Almena Bible Church seeks a doctrinally sound Pastor to provide spiritual leadership for our re-growing congregation.

Qualifications:

Born-again believer in Jesus Christ grounded in God’s Word.

Adheres to 1 Timothy 3:1-2 and Titus 1:6-9 standards.

Committed to salvation principles in Matthew 28:19-20, Acts 2:38, Romans 10:9 and Matthew 16:16.

Able to administer The Lord’s Supper, marriages, funerals and baby dedications.

2-3 years of Senior/Lead Pastoral experience preferred; new graduates considered.

4-year degree from an accredited Bible College or accredited seminary preferred; 2-3 year degrees considered.

Clean driving record and ability to pass a Criminal Background Check.

Duties:

Oversee and mentor church leadership.

Represent the church in community outreach and charitable events.

Organize weekly services and deliver biblically based sermons

Provide spiritual guidance, including pastoral care for nursing home residents.

Maintain church social media presence.

Support and oversee youth ministry and adult Bible studies.

Maintain consistent office hours.

Benefits:

Negotiable salary.

Housing allowance or parsonage.

Paid Time Off annually. (negotiable)

Time off for the fifth weekend of any month.
