Job Description

Plymouth Heights Christian Reformed Church is a vibrant and loving congregation in Grand Rapids, MI, whose mission is “equipping disciples to become neighbors and inviting neighbors to become disciples.” We’re seeking a Pastor of Preaching and Leadership to serve alongside our current Pastor of Congregational Care and Life in a co-pastoral model and challenge us to grow in love for God and others.

At Plymouth Heights CRC, we deepen our relationship with God through meaningful worship and discipleship opportunities. We love others through congregational fellowship and local outreach efforts such as our Friendship bible study, monthly food distribution, and mid-week children’s programs. We have a strong ministry team that looks forward to collaborating with our new Pastor of Preaching and Leadership.

We’re looking for a pastor who effectively engages a variety of audiences with the Word of God and builds genuine relationships with people. As we respond to God’s call to broaden our fellowship, we’re also looking for someone who encourages diversity, reaches out to people whose lived experiences are different from their own, and who will invest in the church neighborhood. As a leader, they should be spiritually mature, foster a growth mindset in the church, and facilitate respectful dialogue amid conflict.

Plymouth Heights Christian Reformed Church (PHCRC) is a Christ-centered congregation located in the Eastgate neighborhood of Grand Rapids, Michigan. We are part of the Christian Reformed Church in North America (CRCNA) and are rooted in the Reformed theological tradition, affirming the authority of Scripture as expressed through the historic creeds and confessions of the church.
