Job Description

Smithville CRC is a loving and welcoming faith community seeking a full-time Pastor to shepherd and care for our congregation. "EMPOWERED by the Holy Spirit to RESTORE all people through the love of Jesus Christ and to EQUIP one another to live out the truth of God's Word" is the vision statement that reminds our members of God's amazing plans for us and those in our midst.  We rely on the Holy Spirit to lead us to the candidate that God has in mind for Smithville CRC and prayerfully trust His guidance in the process.

We are searching for a God-fearing Pastor to provide spiritual leadership and guidance to our congregation. The Pastor will lead our Sunday morning services, be engaged in the spiritual life of Smithville CRC and its members, and journey with us as God's instruments to the people of Smithville. Smithville CRC is seeking a Pastor who:

  • Is an effective preacher/speaker whose messages are Biblically-based;
  • Is a compassionate and caring person, sensitive to others' needs and strong in building relationships;
  • Is a person who encourages members to have a close, devotional relationship with God;
  • Encourages people to relate their faith to their daily lives; and
  • Is effective in working with all age-groups in a multi-generational congregation.

Smithville is located in the centre of West Lincoln and only a short drive to the QEW highway that connects Niagara Falls, Hamilton and the Greater Toronto Area.
