Full-Time Sole Pastor at Danforth Reformed Church (Danforth, IL)

Church Overview:
Danforth Reformed Church is a friendly and welcoming congregation with theology in the RCA.  Our church is known for their love of music with strong singing voices. We value the Biblical ministry, with the pastor relating to the congregation.  Our church is in a rural setting, with larger communities nearby that offer more opportunities.  Our goal is to prayerfully seek a pastor to walk with us in faith, love and growth of the congregation.  Danforth Reformed Church exists to glorify God with worshipping in-person and online through our live-stream.

The Opportunity:
We are searching for a scripture-based message relating to everyday life.  We will support you in your journey to lead others to Christ.  The ideal candidate will deepen our spiritual lives, strengthen community outreach, and support growth within the congregation.

Key Responsibilities:
Preaching & Teaching: Create Biblically based sermons relevant to everyday life.
Pastoral Care: Have the ability to reach out to entire congregation across all ages through nursing home, hospital, and home visits, offering a compassionate presence with a strong listening ear.
Administration: Work with the consistory for worship and to fulfill the goals of the church; represent the church in the RCA denomination.
Community Engagement: Have a strong presence in the community, while working to bring younger families into the congregation.
Worship: To honor traditional worship, using blended styles of hymns and choruses, along with adapting to new modern forms of worship.
Technology: Continue to build streaming community, along with the ability to maintain and improve current systems.

Qualifications: 
Degree in theology, divinity, or equivalent ministry experience
RCA approved minister
Strong communication and leadership skills
Technologically savvy
