We are seeking a passionate and talented Director of Worship to lead and cultivate our worship ministry, enriching our congregational experience and glorifying God in every note and prayer.

Your Mission:

As the Director of Worship, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the spiritual life of our church. This is not just a job; it’s an opportunity to inspire, uplift, and connect our community through powerful worship. Your leadership will help us foster an environment where people can encounter God’s presence, deepen their faith, and grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ.

Key Qualifications:

  • Ability to lead the congregation vocally in singing (required).
  • Ability to lead worship musically on the piano and/or guitar (required).
  • Experience leading worship in a church setting (preferred).
  • Experience building and developing a team (preferred).

Responsibilities:

Worship Planning:

  • Lead with Vision: Collaborate with our Lead Pastor to craft engaging worship services that resonate with our community and align with our sermon series and liturgical calendar.
  • Nurture Talent: Recruit and develop a dynamic Praise Team, fostering both musical skills and spiritual growth.
  • Innovate Worship: Curate a vibrant song library, adding 6-8 new songs each year that reflect the themes of our sermon series, while honoring our rich tradition of hymns and liturgy.
  • Special Services: Plan and coordinate music for special services, including Christmas Eve, weddings, and funerals, ensuring these moments are memorable and uplifting.

Worship Leading:

  • Transformative Worship: Lead Sunday morning services with passion and purpose, creating a space where the Holy Spirit can work in transformative ways.
  • Collaborative Spirit: Share responsibilities with the Lead Pastor and Praise Team members, including leading prayers, liturgy, and Scripture readings.

Administrative Excellence:

  • Set Goals: Dream big and set yearly goals to enhance the worship experience at Immanuel.
  • Stay Connected: Attend weekly staff meetings and monthly suppers, fostering a collaborative team environment.
  • Manage Resources: Oversee the worship ministry budget and maintain essential subscriptions like ProPresenter and CCLI.
  • Support Our Community: Work closely with the leadership of Siloam, our Nepali congregation, to ensure smooth operations and shared worship resources.

  • Balance and Recharge: Enjoy a dedicated weekly Sabbath, ensuring you can recharge and connect deeply with God.
  • Professional Development: Benefit from a yearly stipend for training and education, with opportunities to take time for further growth. Enjoy up to 4 weeks of vacation and Sundays for rest and renewal.
