We are seeking a committed follower of Jesus to serve as Faith Formation Coordinator at Faith Church here in beautiful Burlington, Ontario. The person we hire will work closely with Pastor Cara, alongside our staff, elders, deacons, and other volunteer leaders. All interested applicants are asked to send a cover email and resume to [email protected] by Friday, March 13, 2026. Consult this document for all the position details. You may also reach out to Pastor Cara DeHaan to learn more.
The Faith Formation Coordinator will help people at Faith, from youngest to oldest, to grow in faith and pursue spiritual transformation. This work will include nurturing and implementing a vision for lifelong discipleship; supporting and mobilizing volunteers to lead our age-specific (age 0-17) faith formation ministries; and coordinating adult discipleship learning opportunities (such as Alpha and our small group ministry).
We pray for the Spirit’s guidance as we seek someone who will grow our capacity to fulfill our vision: “Faith will be a community led by the Spirit where all are invited, all are loved, all are shaped, and all are sent to live like Jesus.”
Faith Church is a 42-year-old Christian Reformed congregation in Burlington, Ontario. On Sunday mornings, you'll find us gathered together (average 160 per week) to worship God (using mostly contemporary music and extemporaneous prayers), learn from his Word (with help from Pastor Cara or one of our lay preaching team members), and deepen our relationships (we love being together!). During the week you'll find us throughout the building: praying, eating, learning and having fun, and studying Scripture. Or check out back - you might find us weeding, watering, or harvesting in our community garden!
We celebrate being a congregation of every age and stage. We celebrate that God is growing our diversity socio-economically and ethnically. We celebrate that God is transforming us and leading us. We celebrate being a community of grace and kindness in which new folks continue to find a place. We celebrate sharing our building as a resource with pickleballers, kids camps, piano lessons, and other rentals. We celebrate seeing so many of us use and develop our gifts on Sundays and throughout the week in the life of our congregation. We celebrate our partnerships (giving, serving, learning) with local organizations that support the vulnerable and work for shalom. We celebrate being sent to live like Jesus throughout our week and throughout our lives.
Burlington is a midsized city in the Greater Toronto area: right on Lake Ontario, near the Niagara Escarpment, within an hour from Niagara Falls and downtown Toronto.
