Location: Fulton Heights

General Description

The Kids! Coordinator’s primary responsibility is preparing for Sunday morning and partnering with the

Kids! Director to encourage a relational environment for children, parents and volunteers.

Position Requirements

● Pursuing a personal relationship with God

● Enthusiastic and motivated - excited to be part of the local church

● Caring and dependable - passionate about creating positive first church experiences for kids and

families

● Creative and collaborative - eager to explore new ideas with volunteers and staff

● Technology - possess a basic knowledge of computer software with the ability to utilize classroom

technology, ie: Canva, Google Drive, Microsoft Suite, Ministry Grid, Planning Center Online &

ProPresenter

Position Description

● Oversee Fulton Height’s Kids! Ministry on Sunday mornings

● “Sunday Ready” classrooms - rooms are reset and stocked with necessary supplies

● Edit small group curriculum (Lifeway’s Hyfi) in Ministry Grid and Microsoft Word

● Organize and prepare small group curriculum: Welcome Stations and Team Time activities

● Connect with small group leaders to review Welcome Station and Team Time responsibilities

● Support Kids! Director with scheduling changes of small group leaders

● Assist Kids! Director with volunteer training events

Team responsibilities

● Possess a commitment to the mission, vision and values of Encounter Church

● In office at Kentwood, Fulton Heights and remote. Sunday location is Fulton Heights

● Work 44 Sundays annually

● Attendance in weekly team meetings is invited but not expected

● Staff holidays required: Good Friday, Easter Sunday and Christmas Eve

● Other tasks as assigned

The Sunday Kids! Coordinator is a 15-20 hour position that reports to the Kids! Director.
