The Operations Director provides day-to-day leadership and oversight of the non-program operational aspects of Evergreen. This includes overseeing finances, facilities, human resources, and information technology. (Note: this part-time position can be combined with the part-time Community Life Director position to create one full-time position.)
Roles & Responsibilities
Financial Management
- Oversee all areas of finance and budget administration, optimizing resources, minimizing costs, and insuring against liabilities.
- Participate in annual budget development process, alongside Lead Pastor and Administrative Deacons, assisting staff and ministry leaders as necessary.
- Prepare reports and communications to Council and congregation as requested.
- Supervise and direct the activities, projects, and work of the Bookkeeper.
Human Resources
- Refine and implement HR policies and procedures to comply with legal requirements and best practices.
- Develop and manage efficient onboarding and offboarding of all employees.
- Manage personnel files, PTO, and additional HR tasks by utilizing HR software.
- Oversee benefits administration.
- Assist Lead Pastor in the tasks of hiring and performance management of support staff, including annual performance reviews.
Facilities Supervision
- Partner with Facilities Team and Custodian ensuring all maintenance and custodial needs are met.
- Oversee and implement policies pertaining to the use and rental of the facilities.
- Provide oversight on the usage of the facility to ensure efficient and effective use.
- Partner with Security Team to develop and implement security policies and systems, including key policy, door lock access system, and security cameras.
- Supervise and direct the activities, projects, and work of the Custodian.
Information Technology
- Partner with third-party IT support source to meet all IT needs of the church.
- Maintain computer assets and software, recommending replacements and improvements as necessary.

- Highly organized, detail-oriented, administratively gifted.
- Handles confidential and sensitive information with integrity and discretion.
- Ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision.
- Proven ability to lead, direct, and empower others to carry out responsibilities.
- Possesses relational skills necessary to work effectively with staff, ministry leaders, and volunteers, maintaining an emotionally healthy work culture.
- Working knowledge of, or willingness to learn, how to utilize relevant software, including QuickBooks, Bamboo HR, and Planning Center.
