Part-Time Worship Coordinator at Inglewood CRC (Edmonton, AB)

POSITION: Worship Coordinator (18 hours/week)

Start Date: as early as August 1, 2023

The Worship Director is responsible for providing leadership in achieving the goals for worship at Inglewood CRC. Working with the pastor, the Worship Director will develop worship services, encourage, and facilitate involvement from a broad spectrum of members.

At Inglewood CRC, our goal is to facilitate worship that honours God. Corporate worship at Inglewood CRC is intended to encourage the people of God to give God praise, adoration, devotion, and commitment. Congregational singing is a distinguishing feature of the Reformed worship service and the promotion and nurturing of this is an important aspect of the ministry of the Worship Coordinator. Orders of worship that are thematically integrated intend to call forth a rich worshipful participation from the congregation, encourage a commitment to God’s kingdom, and support the preaching of God’s Word.

Recognizing that a congregation is made up of individuals who respond in worship of our Lord in different ways, our corporate worship services intend to provide a variety of styles and forms. We want to integrate historic liturgy and music, which has stood the test of time, with contemporary words and music from the world church.
