Women Flourishing in Ministry Leadership

Our church and world need examples of ministries that have achieved greater gender and ethnic diversity and are ministering more joyfully and effectively because of that diversity. We want to increase the chances that women and ethnic minorities will flourish, not fail, in ministry leadership. The Office of Leadership Development: Women's and Ethnic Ministry exists to serve the denomination in our vision of a diverse family of healthy congregations, assemblies, and ministries expressing the good news of God's kingdom that transforms lives and communities worldwide.

The reality is that there are women and ethnic leaders with stories of pain, frustration, and isolation in ministry and the church. There are also stories of women and ethnic leaders thriving in ministry. On Friday, November 30, we had an opportunity to hear from ministry leaders on a national and local level about their leadership experiences. See the article and event schedule below for more details!

In my enthusiasm, I forgot to make an important statement in the article:

Many thanks to our partners: Calvin College and host site, Calvin Theological Seminary. We thank all of our guests and program participants, and we especially say thank you to President Jul Medenblik and our planning team leader Dr. Margaret Mwenda, Chief Operating Officer of Calvin Seminary. As I stated previously, we look forward to the third annual SheLeads Summit!

Your support and prayers are greatly appreciated.
