My kids tell me I’m just like the woman in the IKEA commercial who, believing she just got a deal that’s too good to be true, walks not so calmly out of IKEA yelling at her husband to “Start the car!” Let’s just say I’ve been known to get excited at a midnight madness sale or two.

As a mom who tries to get the most bang out of her budgetary buck, I stock up on a few specifics each season—beach toys and towels at the end of summer, pens and paper in the fall, gift wrap and greeting cards after Christmas, and chocolate bunnies after Easter (those are just for me!) And as a children’s ministry leader I’m always on the look-out for good deals on stickers, craft supplies and Story Bibles.

As a church administrator there are likely a few key times when you also load up on supplies. From pens to toilet tissue, candles to printer ink, you know when and where to find the best deals for your church.  (And the best candy for that jar on your desk!)  And, as a fellow savvy shopper you may want to check out the Spring Cleaning Sale that’s on right now at Faith Alive. Here are a few samples of the deep discounts being offered on a number of resources you can use to stock the shelves at your church—and those of your church members at home:

God's Big Story Cards – A fun devotional game for families with school-aged kids. Giving each family this tool is a great way for your church to encourage faith nurture in every home. (And, if your church will be using the Dwell curriculum in the fall, now is the time to pick up a set for each family.) And the best part---there’s a FREE downloadable Family Event to help you present the cards to families in a meaningful way!

God Loves Me Storybooks – Written for 2-3 year olds, this beloved series of books teaches toddlers that they are precious to God. Pick up the full set for your nursery or get a set to give out individually as baptism or new baby gifts.

Volunteer training pamphlets – Keep a stash of these on hand to give to volunteers who’ve been asked to greet/usher, lead prayer, read Scripture, mentor, visit, serve in the nursery or teach church school.

Manual of CRC Church Government and the Christian Reformed Church Order Commentary - Questions about rules and regulations? Wondering how to interpret and apply articles? Get guidance from these two must-have resources for every church leadership team.

Visit Faith Alive Christian Resources to see more of the 200+ items that are on sale this spring. The best part? You don’t even have to start the car!
