Dear CRC Family,
Has anyone else been listening to "A Fire is Lit: The Redeemer City to City Story"? I have found it fascinating on a number of levels. I think it has a lot to teach us about revival, renewal, missions, global cities, 9/11 and multi-cultural ministry, for starters. Would anyone like to get together and discuss them for a few weeks? I'll set up a zoom call every Monday from 1-2 PM (pacific time/4 PM eastern time) starting March 10 and ending no later than May 12.
A couple of the episodes hit close to home as nearly all of the guests are friends of mine who mentored and guided me while I was planting in NYC (I went through the Fellows and Incubator programs they developed as I was planting in Manhattan and served part-time on staff at City to City from 2014-16).
I've even got some Redeemer Presbyterian Staff and City to City Staff to join us as surprise guests for a session or two.
I wonder what this movement that started in 1989 in NYC and has spread to many of the great cities of the world has to teach us today? I would love to have some conversation partners in that as we continue to share the gospel, renew and plant churches.
If you would like to join me on March 10 or future weeks, comment below "I'm in!" or email me: [email protected].
Yours in Christ,
