What You Need to Know About The Canadian National Gathering
October 27, 2025
The Canadian National Gathering isn’t just a conference where you’ll be sitting through plenary sessions or listening to experts. Instead, it’s a national conversation, where Christian Reformed Churches from Canada come together to listen, reflect, and discern God’s calling for our future.
If you’re asking whether you should be a part of this gathering, this is what it’s all about:
Attending the Canadian National Gathering means that you’re willing to make space in your life and your church community to pray, reflect, and engage. You’ll be part of conversations that explore how the CRC can make an impact in Canada.
You will be encouraged to think about your own context, learn from other churches, and discern where God might be calling each of us.
The gathering is for people who care deeply about the CRC in Canada. It’s for people engaged in ministry, active in their communities, and passionate about the church.
Whether you’re attending in person or participating in the conversation from your local church, your ideas, experiences, and insights help shape our future.
The three days in May are part of a longer journey:
Before: Prayer, reflection, and preparation help you discern if God is calling you to participate.
During: Conversations and discernment guide the gathering.
After: Reporting back, sharing what you’ve learned, and helping your church and classis reflect on next steps helps the impact continue long after the gathering ends.
The Canadian National Gathering is for every Christian Reformed Canadian. You don’t need to hold a title, lead a large church, or have all the answers.
If you care about the church in Canada, this is for you to pay attention to, participate in, and support.
The conversations we have will ripple through every congregation, large and small, coast to coast.
The next Canadian National Gathering will be held May 28–31, 2026, at Redeemer University in Ancaster, Ontario. Start thinking about how you can participate in the conversation, whether through prayer, discussion, or local church engagement.
This is a journey for everyone in the CRC in Canada, and it begins long before the doors open in May.
