Is your congregation interested in helping your neighborhood and community thrive? This year-long cohort held in partnership between World Renew and Diaconal Ministries Canada will inspire and mobilize your congregation to love, listen to, and engage with your neighbors, neighborhoods, and local organizations as you seek to cultivate a place of flourishing.

Starting January 2023!

Third Thursdays at 8:00 PM ET (7:00 CT, 6:00 MT, 5:00 PT)

Kingdom vision: We want to see how God sees and envisions the church’s local community. Representatives of a congregation or faith community will focus our attention on seeing how congregations (people and the institution) are called to be active agents responsible for the flourishing and health of its neighborhood and community.

Community-focused: We want to see how the community members experience their neighborhood and join with them in helping the community flourish. Together with the residents of the community, we will discover how to partner with people, associations, organizations and resources and plan ways for the community to flourish.

This cohort will learn and practice the basic principles of strengths based community driven engagement and take steps to live them out in the congregation’s neighborhood.
