ABOUT
We know that young people are at the forefront of many justice movements. We also know that Indigenous Reconciliation is a crucial part of doing justice ministry in Canada today. Many youth that we encounter especially want to know more about the Indigenous communities around them, and how to unlearn some of the stereotypes and misunderstandings that they may have towards them.
For this reason the CRC in Canada has developed the Youth Ambassadors of Reconciliation Program (YARP), in partnership with The Canadian Indigenous Ministry Committee, The Office of Race Relations, and World Renew. This program aims to support young people as they embark on personalized reconciliation journeys, connecting them to mentors, local Indigenous communities, and supporting them as they learn how to practice the ministry of reconciliation, becoming change makers in their own local churches.
Applications are now closed for 2020. Please check back for more information about 2021 soon!
