Faith and belonging unite communities. In our case, it has united organizations! As long-time collaborators, All Belong and Friendship Ministries came together for good with the announcement that Friendship Ministries is now a subsidiary of All Belong.

Friendship Ministries and All Belong fit well together, like the puzzle pieces we so often use to illustrate mutuality in Christian community. We believe that together we can do more good than either organization could do alone.

As we combine resources, we look forward to continuing the work of Friendship Ministries so that worshipping communities grow in faith, friendship, and belonging together.

A few short years ago, All Belong partnered with Friendship Ministries on creating a Bible study curriculum designed to support Friendship groups (as Friendship Ministries had been doing for decades). However, this new curriculum was also designed for adults with varied abilities to learn and worship TOGETHER, which became the name for this new online curriculum. That collaboration has drawn the two organizations closer and we are excited about what God will make possible as we come under one roof.

Friendship Ministries will continue to supply curriculum and support for Friendship groups within the church division of All Belong, where we can pair those supports with other resources for building belonging in worshipping communities. You can order curriculum as you have in the past, from the Friendship website or from Faith Alive Christian Resources.

As Friendship groups will benefit from All Belong’s resources, All Belong member churches will gain access to the TOGETHER curriculum. We will continue to resource Spanish-speaking congregations through Ministerio Amistad and are already working to provide resources in Spanish for building belonging in Latin American churches. Friendship Ministries Canada operates as a separate but mutually supportive organization with whom we are eager to continue working.

Scripture explains for us what we see God leading us to do: “Some friendships don’t last for long, but there is one loving friend who is joined to your heart closer than any other!” (Proverbs 18:24 TPT)

We rejoice in how God has given us this opportunity to solidify our shared heart for kingdom communities by joining our organizations together for good.
