Every year Disability Concerns hosts a Leadership Training Event in August, in Grand Rapids. As we have watched the trajectory of the coronavirus to date, we feel that hosting an in-person event would not be wise. However, we have been excited to watch other organizations shift to online platforms to offer events.
We have decided to follow suit and, for the first time ever, offer our training for disability advocates in a webinar format. While we will miss the naturally occurring networking and connecting that occurs at these events, we also realize that in the past there have been members of our disability community that have been unable to participate in this event. This year, we hope to see many familiar faces attending our online conference and hopefully many new faces as well!
We will continue to update this post as details are finalized, but here is the information available thus far:
