Looking for Volunteer Golf Cart Drivers at Synod 2023!

Golf Cart Driving for Synod 2023

It's back and we need you, or maybe someone you know, to help keep synod delegates on time. We are looking for golf cart drivers throughout the week of synod, June 8-15. Drivers are needed every day, mornings, afternoons and  evenings, to help get delegates to where they need to be.  Here's the link to sign up. 

Please take a moment to look at the schedule and sign up for one or more time slots. A few things to keep in mind as you are signing up or sharing this with others: 

• You must be at least 18 years old to drive a golf cart on campus. If you have questions about this, please email me (I can sign for service hours). 
• Please meet at the southwest side of the chapel, small parking lot. 
• Please be 10 minutes early to receive any special instructions. 
• The afternoon/evening driving slots will have some downtime. Feel free to listen in, drive around campus, or find a place to work/hangout. 
• Breakfast, lunch, or dinner will not be provided during your time slot. 
• Check the weather. You may want a jacket or rain gear as the golf carts are open on the sides.
• Please Remember, NO conversations about synod issues, NO flyers, NO statements. You are a golf cart driver, keep it light and fun. 
• Talk about your work, families, where people are from, how many times they have been to synod, or have some trivia questions ready. This is about having fun, being happy, and providing tired delegates a ride. Just have fun!
