This webinar was recorded on February 18, 2015.

Description: We all know that deep change in individuals or organizations is rare. Taking a descriptive approach to change, this webinar asks, "In these rare instances of deep change, what happened?" This webinar describes five factors that are present in virtually every instance of deep change. Understanding these five factors can help leaders analyze their own organization to see whether they are leading in ways that can maximize chances for significant change. The webinar also addresses how this descriptive approach to change relates to the role of God, the Spirit and prayer in change, and proposes an approach to change that appreciates both organizational and spiritual ways of framing the change process.
Presenter: Duane Kelderman currently serves as Interim Pastor for various Christian Reformed congregations. After serving three congregations from 1977 to 2001, Duane served as Vice President for Administration at Calvin Theological Seminary from 2001 to 2011 where he also taught courses in leadership and preaching. Since that time he has served as interim pastor, taught leadership related courses at Calvin College and Seminary, and served as leadership resource for a variety of organizations throughout western Michigan. Duane is currently a board member and officer for In Trust Center for Theological Schools—a institution dedicated to strengthening the governance and institutional capacity of theological schools.
