For a while I've been thinking about whether or not to buy a journaling Bible. As a visual learner and someone who gets sermons to "stick" by taking pages of notes, I wonder if a Bible with margins for notes and illustrations might help me reflect on scripture in a deeper way.

I've also heard cautions that Bible journaling can 1) make us fixate on our own colorful artwork or 2) make us fixate on specific phrases or verses in the Bible instead of the whole of scripture.

Have any Network readers tried Bible journaling? What do you like or dislike about it? And would you be willing to share what Bible you bought?
