How can an adult help a child enter into worship? In her book, Parenting in the Pew: Guiding Your Children into the Joy of Worship (Third edition), Robbie Castleman writes about the importance of worship and intergenerational ministry, giving both theory and practical applications. One of the chapter’s title, “Counting Bricks or Encountering God” shows the realism of the author’s experience with children in worship. I have given this to parents who have asked about what to do with their kids in church besides trying to keep them quiet. The book was and is appreciated.  The third edition includes discussion questions with Scripture reflections.
