It's 2025! New year, new resolutions, and (hopefully) a somewhat new me.
As we begin a new year, many of us are reflecting on how we can grow in faith, serve others, and deepen our walk with Christ. Or we may be setting more physical goals: Getting out into nature more often. Taking better care of our crazy amazing bodies. Visiting an aging relative more often. Getting off our screens. Whatever they are, New Year’s resolutions can be a meaningful way to set intentions for spiritual and personal growth.
So, I'd like to spur some discussion: What are your new year's resolutions this year, spiritual or otherwise?
Here are a few ideas:
- Are you starting a new Bible reading plan or prayer practice this year?
- What habits are you forming to grow closer to God? What's been pulling you away from God? What small but mighty steps can you take to help bring you closer to God this year?
- How are you planning to serve your family, friends, church, denomination, or community in 2024? What does this mean for your personal growth and spiritual journey?
- What scripture or passage is guiding you as you step into the new year?
We’d love to hear from you! Share your resolutions or hopes for the year ahead in the comments below. Let’s encourage one another as we seek to live faithfully in 2024. And if you need ideas or inspiration, head over to this blog post to explore how our CRCNA brothers and sisters have leaned on Scripture to learn and grow in faith.
Share your ideas below! We are all looking forward to hearing from you.
