On February 10, Worship Ministries hosted a conversation with Rev. George DeVuyst and Rev. Joseph Nyamutera, hosted by Rev. Joy Englesman. This was a follow up conversation from a panel discussion at the Calvin Institute of Christian Worship's annual Symposium on Worship.
In this discussion, Rev. Nyamutera shared about his experience with the reconciliation ministry, Healing Hearts Transforming Nations, in his home country of Rwanda. Rev. DuVuyst, a Resonate missionary in Ukraine, participated in a reconciliation workshop and now helps to lead and facilitate this work of healing and reconciliation around the globe.
Rev. Englesman asked this important question: If God's work of reconciliation has taken place in powerful ways in these two extremely conflicted countries, what can God do here in North America to heal our divisions and our wounds, and how can this happen in our worship?
