Thanks Ken and others who have raised this concern. With the continued growth of The Network, we've decided to pursue a more advanced spam-prevention system. Among it's many features, this system (Mollum) will require much fewer Captchas from legitimate users while still requiring them from new users (including spam robots).

I can't give a specific timeframe yet, but will post an update in the coming weeks.

Update....that new "email" link now appears in the sidebar of all forum posts (including this one!) as well as articles, blogs, etc. Check it out.

You're right, we don't have one. Interesting suggestion.

I suppose it could fit under Elders (in our church we have an Elder to the Seniors), but maybe it should be it's own section. What does everyone else think?

Aaah...new photographic evidence just in from an anonymous source. See, he's up in the rafters and way taller than that wall in the back.

This, of course, was taken just as he warmed up. By the end, all the delegates were ROTFL (rolling on the floor laughing). Well, pretty close.

What a great idea! Hey, let's share a few here, too!

Everyone....what's one of your 'heart songs' and why?

Hi Fernando - Thanks for your interest in The Network and connecting with other classis stated clerks. It's people like you that will help make this vision for The Network a reality! We've got a Classis discussion network which is probably the best place for stated clerks, and others, to connect around the work of classes. There aren't any posts in it yet, so you can be the first one!

I checked the 2007 denominational survey and it looks like the stat is from there. It's mentioned on page 1 with more details on page 10. It's noted there that:

These averages are not of the entire CRC population but only of those 18 or older, since respondents were limited to adults.

So the trends are still helpful, but can't be compared to the general US/CDN population, for example. The full survey report is available at www.crcna.org/research

Hope this helps.

After trying MANY in our household, our favorite for littler kids is:

The Jesus Storybook Bible: Every Story Whispers His Name

...as the title suggests, it's refreshingly Reformed. Faith Alive carries it.

How did we miss that one? Thanks, Elisabeth. It's added. Now you can be the first one to post to it :-)
