Advent/Christmas Worship Planning Webinar

It’s coming. . . Advent and Christmas are just around the corner!

In the webinar recording below, five worship planners came together to brainstorm and share their thoughts and ideas for Advent and Christmas themes, art, music, lessons and carols, choirs, and more. Listed below are several of the resources mentioned in the webinar. Watch and listen to the roundtable discussion to see how these resources (and more!) are being used in worship.

Thanks to Katie Roelofs (Washington DC), Kristina Jipping (Kalamazoo, MI), Kyle Vanderzee (DeMotte, IN), James Lee (East Islip,NY), and Kevin Soodsma (Grand Rapids, MI), for participating in this discussion.

Resources named in the webinar:

Let's Discuss…

We love your comments! Thanks for your help upholding the Community Guidelines to make this an encouraging and respectful community for everyone.

Thanks for sharing this! I absolutely love Andrew Peterson's song Is He Worthy?

We did an Advent series a couple years ago on the theme of "HOPE" with a focus on promise and fulfillment (pairing OT and NT texts together). We made 2 massive signs (I'll check my photos and see if I can attach examples here) with "HOPE awakened" and "HOPE fulfilled" painted on in text. Someone from our congregation makes those wooden signs with her Cricut, so we relied heavily on her expertise. It was just wrapped canvas on a wood frame and then painted with matte interior house paint. A little time consuming, but not overly complicated.
