Free Resources for the Church During Covid-19

Several artists and companies have offered their services to help the church navigate the Covid-19 crisis and our changing needs as they apply to worship. This is a current listing of services that we are aware of. If you have knowledge of more, please add them in the comments below. 

  • CCLI licensing - It’s not free, but CCLI is offering information and reduced pricing to add a streaming license to help you stay connected with your congregation during the Covid-19 crisis. 
  • Flex-Print - from Hymnary.org. Free! FlexPresent will make it easy to project songs for use in worship, whether lyrics only or lyrics with music notation. Users also can choose different music notation styles and sizes, select stanzas and more. They also can play a recording of the accompaniment.
  • Getty Music - Quoting from their website: “Please feel free to use songs from the Getty Music Publishing and Getty Music Hymns and Songs catalogs (these are names you’ll see in the copyright notice) on a license-free basis as part of the transmission of your services. We also gladly make available the use of our recorded materials, especially our lyric videos and accompaniment tracks, as part of livestreamed services during this prayerfully limited period.”
  • OneLicense.net - OneLicense offers gratis licenses to help churches copy with the Covid-19 challenges. 
  • Resound Worship - has given permission for churches to livestream all of their music.
  • Seeds Family Worship -   a lot of kids songs for free use.
  • Sovereign Grace - Sovereign Grace gives gratis permission to live stream their songs. Check the link for details.
  • Greg Scheer - download a free song, Jesus You Are Here 
  • Steve Bell - In an interview, Bell indicates he is letting churches use his songs.
  • Small Curch Music - Small church music has thousands of MP3s that you can use for free. All of the songs appear to be hymns.
  • Streaming Worship Services and Copyrights in this time of Social Distancing - this article explains copyright requirements for live streaming worship services. 
  • Wendell Kimbrough - download his entire songbook of published music for free by signing up for the email list. 
  • Worship Lyric Videos - This site has very high quality productions of many contemporary songs. The videos are under $5 each, and can be streamed online
