About

Immanuel CRC is located in Hudsonville, MI, a west Michigan suburb of Grand Rapids. Our largely mono-cultural congregation includes approximately 120 professing adult members. We meet for a blended style worship service at 9:30 each Sunday morning, with additional ministry opportunities throughout the week. We are a supporting church of Hudsonville Christian school and hold Christian education in high regard.

Hudsonville is a growing community with a quickly developing downtown area featuring locally owned restaurants and shops. Immanuel is located within the heart of the city's residential areas and within close proximity of the developing commercial areas of the city. The outlying areas of the Hudsonville community are largely agricultural or commuter.

Our congregation is a family type atmosphere and our members truly care for each other. We seek out ways to support each other and, when someone is in need, pitch in to help them through the circumstances. Immanuel organizes an annual service day to assist elderly and disabled members of our congregation and community. We enjoy fellowshipping together at monthly potlucks and during periodic intergenerational Sunday school opportunities where God's children of all ages can share in His continued faithfulness and how He has impacted each of our lives.

Our worship services include a blend of contemporary praise & worship songs along with cherished hymns. We love to praise God through song. We are led by our incredibly talented worship director and praise band, featuring keyboard/piano, guitars, percussion, and vocalists.

Immanuel offers varying ministries including adult Bible studies, children's Sunday school, GEMS, Cadets, Kid's Hope, and Bless Every Home prayer ministry, among others. We have a passion for the mission field and support several missionaries globally. Locally, we participate in a monthly food distribution ministry at a local mobile home community that provides the opportunity to develop relationships with the park's residents. We also partner with All Nations CRC, a local Hispanic church that hosts weekly worship services in our church building.

Other current staff positions the lead pastor will work alongside of include worship director, Kid's Hope director, accountant, technology director, custodians, and administrative assistant.

Immanuel's mission statement is "Advancing Christ's kingdom...in hearts, in neighborhoods, and into the next generation." Our core values are Christ-centered Biblical truth, authentic Christian community, worship that draws us to God, prayerful dependence, compassionate mission, and growing disciples.
