Covenant is seeking a full-time ordained pastor to lead us as we work to achieving our congregational goal of "Sharing Christ until everyone fully reflect Him".
Candidates should be committed to Reformed theology and be excellent in preaching, teaching, and working with our worship assistant, youth director, and office administrator.
Covenant is a growing church located in the north east suburb of Winnipeg. We have 273 professing members and are intergenerational, with many young families, middle aged and seniors. Our council is led by strong leadership and is comprised of both male and female elders and deacons. Our many programs are geared to children, youth, young families, generation X, and seniors. We support both denominational initiatives as well as local community projects such as our "garden of hope", summer camp, Hope Center, and Indigenous Family Center.
Winnipeg is a vibrant city, close to a great many recreational rivers and lakes. Its cultural "Folklorama", large zoo, theater center, and museums contribute to a large and varied cultural mosaic. It is also a sporting town, home to the NHL Winnipeg Jets. As our city is multicultural in background, we are home to many varied church denominations. In our Reformed tradition, there are six churches. Calvin Christian schools (a CSI school) operates classes from kindergarten through to grade 12.
