Full-Time Solo Pastor at Covenant CRC (Appleton, WI)

Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ! Covenant CRC in Appleton, Wisconsin, is seeking a full-time solo pastor to join our mission to proclaim Christ in our community and the world. Our age-diverse congregation is comprised of regularly attending, committed members who are present and engaged in worship, and who come from a wide diversity of denominational backgrounds. 

We have several thriving internal discipleship and children’s ministries and are excited about our primary outreach opportunities - Covenant Friends (a neurodiverse ministry) and our partnership with a Congolese congregation, with whom we share a worship space. Covenant CRC is hungry to discuss questions about difficult topics of faith, trusting that the Lord will show us paths that lead to life in Him. We seek a pastor who will welcome and encourage these discussions, teaching us to listen well to the Holy Spirit and one another as we grow in faith. We seek a pastor who can guide our diverse flock to the mission that God calls us to, through biblical preaching, prayerful discernment, and the wisdom that only God can give. As our website says, we believe in “Growing Together Through God’s Word.”

Appleton is an anchor community in the Fox Cities, a thriving string of cities and villages built along the Fox River and Lake Winnebago, about two hours north of Milwaukee. The area is home to a wide variety of industries; large employers include paper mills, insurance companies, healthcare, and manufacturing. The Appleton area has many public schools (which allow open enrollment), private and charter schools, Catholic and Lutheran private schools (K-12), and a Valley Homeschooler's Association.  Appleton is also home to Lawrence University (liberal arts) and Fox Valley Technical College. Pastoral candidates may consider a wide array of residential options, from quiet rural areas to established city neighborhoods or modern riverfront condos, all within minutes of the church.
